Terms of Use
These terms are written in plain language on purpose. By installing the ForceLens extension or using this site, you agree to them.
1. What ForceLens is
ForceLens is a free browser extension that analyzes Salesforce debug logs and Flow metadata locally in your browser. It is an independent product created by Prit Sakhvala and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Salesforce, Inc. "Salesforce", "Apex", "Lightning", and related marks are trademarks of Salesforce, Inc.
2. License to use
You get a free, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the extension for your work with Salesforce orgs you are authorized to access. Don't reverse-engineer it to build a competing product from its code, redistribute modified versions under the ForceLens name, or use it to violate Salesforce's own terms of service.
3. Your responsibilities
- Org access. Only use ForceLens with orgs and data you're permitted to access. Trace flags and logs it creates on your behalf are actions performed under your Salesforce user and your org's policies.
- AI keys and costs. If you enable AI features, you supply your own API key. Requests go directly from your browser to your chosen provider; their terms and their bills are between you and them. Review what a log snippet contains before sending it to any AI provider.
- Judgment. Analysis output (including AI-generated explanations) can be wrong. Verify before acting on it in production.
4. Privacy
Logs and API keys stay in your browser's local storage; ForceLens operates no server that receives them. The full picture — including the exact extension permissions and why each is needed — is in the Privacy Policy & Trust Center.
5. No warranty
ForceLens is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind — express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. It's a free tool; we work hard to make it excellent, but we can't guarantee it is error-free or always available.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ForceLens and its creator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — including lost data, lost profits, or issues in your Salesforce org — arising from use of the extension or this site.
7. Support
Support is provided on a best-effort basis through the Support Portal and forcelens.support@gmail.com. There is no SLA for a free product, but bugs are triaged publicly on the collaboration board.
8. Changes
The extension and these terms may change as the product evolves. Material changes to these terms will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
